Almost a quarter of Brits are planning to go meat-free this year, according to a new poll.

The data, from shopping comparison website, finder.com, says 12 million Brits are planning to go vegan, vegetarian, or pescatarian by 2021.

The same research last year found that 11.7 million Brits wanted to ditch meat, but by the end of 2019, only five percent (236,000) had managed to do so completely – with Finder suggesting many of the others opting for a ‘flexitarian’ diet.
