Japanese Food Chain Launches a Vegan Fried Chicken Feast
Christmas in Japan has become synonymous with a bucket of fried chicken, enjoyed by millions of families from November, through to Christmas Day.
A Japanese Tradition
Inspired by this Japanese tradition, YO! Sushi is bringing the trend to the UK, with its brand-new fried vegan chicken Christmas box.
The Festive Feast Box features crispy and tender fried chick’n nuggets, a sweet and spicy chilli JFC dipping sauce, YO! fries that are sprinkled with sesame and aonori, all served with miso-coated sweetcorn and a tangy vegan mayonnaise slaw.
The new dish is an exciting addition to the brand’s ever-expanding plant-based options.
Executive Chef at YO!, Mike Lewis, commented: “We’re excited to bring a Japanese festive favourite to our menus this Christmas and we’re continuously looking for new ways to grow and expand our menu beyond sushi. We believe this unique addition, will be a huge hit with our guests.”
The limited-edition Festive Feast box is available in selected YO! sites from the 29th November to the 31st December, retailing at £8.50.
Founded in 1997, YO! (formerly YO! Sushi) was the first to bring to the UK the concept of a Japanese ‘kaiten’ sushi bar that delivered food via a conveyor belt.
Today, YO! has almost 100 sites across the globe in the UK, United States, Europe and the Middle East and serves over 7 million customers a year.
