A new vegan pizzeria has opened in London – and according to its founders, the majority of customers are non-vegan.

Saint, in Hackney, was opened by hospitality group Lollipop, which owns a range of ‘interactive’ experience restaurants including ABQ London, The Bletchley, The Bunyadi (London’s Naked Restaurant) and The Grid.

It’s newest venture offers pizza with a range of vegan cheese and meats, as well as salads, and cocktails.

“Lollipop is delighted to announce the official launch of Saint – our stone-baked sourdough vegan pizzeria in London,” a spokesperson told Plant Based News.

“We want to keep this very short and give you a simple fact: 90 percent of our customers are non-vegans and they keep coming back.

“The idea behind Saint is very simple: we took the world’s most loved food, made it vegan using authentic and local ingredients, kept the same Napolitano spirit and spiced it up with a fun venue playing hip-hop music and serving smashing cocktails.”
