Plant-Based Brand To Debut Vegan Bacon And Beef At New Zealand’s ‘Biggest Carnivore Event’

Plant-based meat brand Sunfed will make its first public debut at the controversial event Meatstock.

The festival, which is described as New Zealand’s ‘biggest carnivore event’, will feature more than 12 meat-centric eateries at the ASB Showground in Auckland.

But guests will now be able to opt for a vegan option, as Sunfed launches its plant-based bacon and beef products in a bid to ’empower meat-eaters with new choices’.


In a statement sent to Plant Based News, Shama Sukul Lee, CEO & Founder of Sunfed,said: “Who doesn’t want bacon with all the taste and none of the bad stuff? Sunfed Bacon will actually love you back.

“These products are game-changers, a world-first – try and find anything as good as this in the global market. You can’t. New Zealanders know how to do protein.”
