Plant-based Diwali Burger launches in San Francisco and Singapore

SAN FRANCISCO, SEPTEMBER 28th, 2018 – VeganBurg is ready to turn up the heat and celebrate the Diwali season with an all-new limited-time-only burger! The world’s first 100% plant-based burger joint today unveiled the launch of a delicious new twist on an all-time favorite: the classic Curry Dhal, starting October 1 across stores in San Francisco and Singapore.

The new #CurryDhalBurg boasts a bold combination of flavors featuring a hand-crumbed potato and spinach patty, and is topped with freshly shredded white cabbage, julienned onion slivers, crisp lettuce leaves, chopped cilantro, a generous dollop of dairy-free aioli, and finally, a hearty ladleful of comforting slow-cooked Curry Dhal sauce. The Curry Dhal Burg is a spin on the classic humble dhal.

Fans will also be pleased to see that along with the Curry Dhal Burg, VeganBurg will be launching specially crafted seasonal sidekicks to complement the burger. The new menu items include:

Shrooms Pops with Mint Sauce: Enjoy this bite-sized snack, featuring warm, savory, herbed mushrooms with a crispy crumb coating on the outside, and served with a side of dairy-free mint sauce. Great for sharing and an aromatic complement to the Curry Dhal Burg!

Sabja Chiller: Prepared fresh daily, VeganBurg’s signature chillers get an added bonus of sweet chia seeds! 

Toasted Coconut Ice Cream: A sumptuous scoop of dairy-free coconut ice cream and flakey hints of toasted coconut shine through with each bite of this indulgent seasonal dessert. 

The Curry Dhal Burg is available for $11.90 ala-carte, and top it up at $6.90 to enjoy it as a meal with Shrooms Pops with Mint Sauce and Sabja Chiller. Finally, finish your meal on a sweet note with VeganBurg’s brand-new Toasted Coconut Ice Cream at $5.90.
