Vegan Street Fair Nights Los Angeles returns for third annual event on September 1-2, 2018 in North Hollywood at The Federal NoHo.
The two-night ticketed event, with vegan eats curated by Instagram’s one and only VeganFatKid, Tim Moore, features a laid-back backyard party vibe complete with beer garden, dancing, live entertainment, live band karaoke, over-sized lawn games and the best vegan food vendors in SoCal.
On Saturday, Vegan Street Fair Nights will be 21 and over only while Sunday will cater to all ages. Games and entertainment for all ages are available throughout the event, and the adults-only, 21 and over beer garden will serve up libations including beer and wine.
“What makes this event special is the intimate, party vibe where new and old friends gather for laughs, drinks, and food under the stars,” said Jessica Schoech, event creator. “When you can sing along to a live karaoke band, play billiards, eat until you pop, and dance the night away, you know it’s going to be a great night; and VeganFatKid’s ability to hand pick the latest and greatest vegan food vendors in the game makes this a weekend to remember.”
Mouth-watering vegan eats include vendors from across Southern California such as heavy hitters Cena Vegan, Charlie’s Brownies, Donut Friend, Atlas Monroe (formerly known as Veganation), and Vegatinos. Also joining the event this year are new-comers to the VSF scene, Alchemy Organica, The Base, Cinnaholic, Evolution Burger, Mac N Cheese Rebel, Modern Times DTLA, and The Vegan Hooligans. San Diego favorites Anthem Vegan and Donna Jean will also be in attendance. A total of 15 vendors will be bringing their unique vegan food and drink creations to this intimate DJ-infused dance party alongside the craft beer garden hosted by The Federal NoHo.
Much like the ever-popular Vegan Street Fair Los Angeles free day event, each vendor will have at least one $4 or less item so patrons can grab tastes from each and every vendor and savor the event to its fullest. Taking place over Labor Day weekend, guests have more time at Nights for uninterrupted fun while not having to worry about making it to work or school come Monday.
Joining the entertainment roster this year will be Indigo Goddess Flow Hula Hoopers, Face Painting & glitter tattoos, complimentary board games, DJ Gianna, DJ Lyriks and the ever popular live karaoke band with full ensemble, Casual Encounters.
In the inaugural year in 2015, Vegan Street Fair hosted 44 vendors with 10,000 attendees. In 2016, Vegan Street Fair boasted 100 vendors and welcomed 20,000 attendees. Also in 2016, Vegan Street Fair added Vegan Street Fair Nights in September- a two-night paid evening event that had 3,000 attendees over two days. In 2017, Vegan Street Fair Los Angeles became the largest single-day vegan event in the world with over 30,000 attendees. Vegan Street Fair also brought the popular event to New York City in 2017 for the first annual Vegan Street Fair New York hitting an attendance of over 10,000.
In 2018, Vegan Street Fair Los Angeles expanded to even more space and maintained its status as the largest single-day vegan event in the world with 34,000 attendees. In 2019, Vegan Street Fair Los Angeles will bring an even bigger event expanded to two days for twice the vegan food and fun.
Schoech, who is from New York originally, was inspired to create the events based on street fairs that are popular in the city. Since Los Angeles is so vegan-friendly, the average person may never be able to try all the delicious vegan offerings – so Vegan Street Fair brings them to the people.
